Who We Are: Volunteers
SMYRC volunteers are a dedicated group of adults, over the age of 24, who provide one-on-one support, mentorship, and supervision of LGBTQQ youth in the resource center and other SMYRC programs. The volunteers of SMYRC are creative and passionate about supporting the next generations of the LGBTQQ community. The adult SMYRC volunteers come in all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. To prepare for their time at SMYRC, volunteers attend a two-day orientation where they learn specific skills for working with and supporting LGBTQQ youth.
